It is located in the northwest region of Honduras and is the second busiest airport in the country. Private vehicles, regular taxis, airport taxis, and hotel-provided shuttles are the most common ways to move to and from the San Pedro Sula airport. In addition, Uber is available in San Pedro Sula, including coverage to and from the airport.

The airport provides private parking spaces for visitors and travelers. Typically it charges L 25 / $1 per hour. Unfortunately, there is no long-term parking space available.


The airport is a single building with terminals A and B, making it easy to navigate.


It’s recommended to arrive at the airport in plenty of time before the flight, as there may be long lines and security checks to complete. For international flights, check-in time is often 2-3 hours before departure, while for domestic flights, it’s usually 1-2 hours before departure. Remember that check-in times may differ for different airlines, so it’s essential to check with your carrier to confirm the check-in time for your flight.

The San Pedro Sula cargo terminal is operated by Adimex, the company assigned to provide air and intermodal cargo storage services at the Ramón Villeda Morales International Airport, offering air and intermodal import cargo handling services, and export services, perishable cargo, ground system agent.

Fixed Base Operator (FBO)

The Ramón Villeda Morales International Airport has a terminal for private flights equipped with all international requirements. This terminal is in the process of being remodeled and will soon have two VIP lounges, as well as a waiting room and a lounge for pilots. It’s equipped with all the Airport Security Division (DSA) security mechanisms and an immigration office to register your trips.
