Iberojet announced the increase of flight frequencies on its Madrid-Palmerola (in Honduras) route in December 2023 and January 2024.

Context

The Spanish airline announced that due to high demand over the high season, it will add two additional frequencies on the following dates: December 18, 2023, and January 8, 2024. Tickets are now on sale through the official website, travel agencies, or by calling (504) 2217-0486 to Iberojet’s Honduras phone service.

Why it matters

These two additional flights will enable 1,500 additional seats for passengers, increasing the capacity of this route operated with the Airbus A350-900. Iberojet started operations at the Palmerola International Airport (XPL) on December 14, 2022, and this additional capacity shows the consumers’ interest in this route. On average, the passenger load factor between Madrid and Palmerola is 90%.

This is one more step in the right direction for the Palmerola International Airport, which was inaugurated in December 2021. Officials shared that they aim to finish 2023 with 800,000 passengers.
